This major Underground station which links Foster + Partners’ Bloomberg building to the sub-surface northern line platforms, was completed in December 2018. Working in partnership with Mott MacDonald, Landolt + Brown led the architectural design of street level and lower level concourse spaces and the connecting, lifts and escalators and platform tunnel connections. A key element of the design was the re-siting of a frieze of historic etched glass panels designed by Sir Henry Hutton that were previously located on an a building which previously occupied part of the Bloomberg site.
