Praed Street
Landolt + Brown have secured planning and listed building consent for refurbishment of Places for London’s Grade II listed over-station building on Praed Street in Paddington.
Originally constructed as the entrance to the Metropolitan Line, the building still incorporates an entrance to the tube system today. Work is now underway to restore the building’s facades and roof and to refurbish the interiors to create several street-front retail units. A much grander space sitting behind the street fontage, spans over the railway and includes a remarkable, open-truss, pyramidal roof structure which has been concealed since the mid 20th century and is being revealed to create a destination restaurant .
The project is currently on site and due for completion in early 2027.
