Walthamstow Underground Station

For this joint-client project for Capital and Regional and London Underground, with C+R acting as lead client, Landolt + Brown is currently at detail design stage for this major new station upgrade project in North London. The practice has acted as lead designer and been the primary point of contact between the two clients and the wider design team.

A new street level Tube entrance, major sub-surface concourse and new platform connections are being delivered as part of a major redevelopment of the Mall shopping centre, with the primary civil engineering structures being delivered as part of the wider site development. This will transform connectivity for the town centre by providing direct access into the Tube network on the north side of Selbourne Road which has historically formed a major barrier between the commercial heart of the town and Victoria Line station entrance.
