Tottenham Hale Public Realm Strategy
Following on from the practice’s bus station square project in Tottenham, completed in 2014, we are now working with Transport for London, The GLA and Haringey Council to develop a public realm strategy for the area around the station.
Earlier plans for residential development on the site have stalled following safeguarding of the land for Crossrail 2 and proposals are currently being developed to encourage meanwhile use to help activate the Hale’s main arrival point.
The project includes an interim building with a café bar, creative workspace, a secure cycle park and a roof terrace, along with relocation of taxi and private car spaces in a kerbside arrangement, allowing the area between the station and bus interchange to become fully pedestrianised, with increased greening and new high quality hard landscape.
