Guildford Station

This new station and over-station building for Solum Regeneration, will form the centerpiece of a major mixed use development on several parcels of land adjacent to the railway. Landolt + Brown have led the design of the new station building as well as a five storey workspace development above the new concourse and the major new square which forms the entrance to the station and the main public open space for the wider development.

The new concourse provides more generous circulation space for rail passengers, capacity for growth, new ticketing and staff accommodation and a better-located access point onto the platforms. The oversite commercial development forms an integral part of the design, providing workspace for Network Rail, the British Transport Police and South Western Railway. The new station square will integrate surface transport interchange for private cars, taxis and buses within a major new public open space.

The project has detailed planning consent and enabling works packages are currently underway on site, with work due to commence on the station itself in 2021.
